JOSEPH (Joe) MURRAY BOXING JOURNEY
The JOSEPH (Joe) MURRAY BOXING JOURNEY by brian zelley
Stepping back in time there were training days at the Moss Side
amateur boxing club and in 2008 there was his place in England's
Boxing Team in the 2008 Olympics. Now, according to the words
on his black T-shirt are the words The World Awaits.
In 2009, Joe made his pro debut against SID RAZUK in a bout
that took place in England in March '09 this followed with bouts in
Las Vegas, USA and Manchester, England. Also had four pro fights
in 2010 including a victory in Dagenham, Essex.
Joe is the brother of British champion JOHN MURRAY and is
joined-up with HATTON PROMOTIONS. Joe is managed
by former boxer MICHAEL MARSDEN of Leeds. Marsden also manager
of such boxers as John Murray, Sean Hughes and Paul Truscott.
THE OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE - TEAM ENGLND 2008
For young Joe Murray, the Olympic experience was bitter sweet.
The Sunday Times hit the right note with the headline:
"Joe Murray suffers defeat after judging controversy
The team boxing coach went one step further and was quoted by
the Guardian with the headline August 12, 2008:
British Coach Blasts Judges After 'Stupid'
Scoring in Murray defeat
Regardless of the results, Joe and his teammates can be proud
of their representation of England and their communities.

It is now March 2013 and Joe is still a professional boxer and
